Smart shoe rewards activity with TV time – Engadget – www.engadget.com.: «It may not solve the childhood obesity crisis, but Square Eyes, a smart shoe for kids developed by a student at London’s Brunel University, may be a start. The shoe’s insole includes a pressure sensor that records how many steps the wearer takes over the course of a day, and transmits the data to a box connected to the home TV. More walking leads to more TV time; the box automatically shuts off the set once the day’s limit has been reached.»
