I’ve been adding YouTube videos to my Favorites like crazy for quite some time, just for my own enjoyment, but I recently discovered that YouTube lets users create their own custom players and present them wherever they want. The feature was a little hidden away under “More …”, and lets you choose between two different layouts, the one chosen here being the slimmest, some predefined colour sets, and one of you playlists, all your favorites or your own videos.

I work for NRK, the Norwegian version of BBC, so I suggested to let some of our most profiled people present their favorites on our site. Everyone bookmarks YouTube anyway, so the response was great, so we’ll see what comes out of it.

Update: Weirdness, if I choose this player, and to display my favorites, only 10 clips appear, but If I choose one of my other playlists, all are available. Bug or feature?
