But I agree, I consume hours of movies each week, so a wide selection is a must. The number of movies right now is around 1000 (?). If Voddler is to succeed they need to have hundreds of thousands. If it is free, legal, and the selection of movies is even HALF decent, I will use it, if only sporadicly. But what I want is something with the depth of Spotify, a true long tail solution where you can dig down deep, follow your whims (or favorite directors/actors) and really EXPLORE movies. I currently have a hangup on movies from the eighties, and they are surprisingly hard to find. No one rents them out anymore, and our VHS copies are increasingly unwatchable. So if Voddler can get hold of those kinds of movies, I will be an utter fan. If they launch with a very shallow selection, with b-movies from the 90s and 00s, or worse, with public domain bw movies, I will be truly dissapointed. Hopefully the screenshots above gives a hint of the range of selection. And I am more sceptical about streaming. It's been a long time since I had an enjoyable experience watching streaming content.
