Norway produces approximately 2 million barrels of oil per day, 12% of the worlds production. This project seeks financing and formal approval for building and promoting a sculpture built from the same number of used oil barrels.

Proposed location: The Palace Square (Slottsplassen), in front of the Royal Palace, Oslo, one of the most visited and photographed tourist locations in Norway.

Size: A 55 gallon oil drum has a maximum external diameter of 23 7/16 inches (59.53 cm). The maximum external height is 33 3/4 inches (85.72 cm). If you where to stack them, they would reach 2057 km into the air (1278 miles).
